Everton could be closing in on the signing of Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
TuttoMercatoWeb report that the Welshman’s agent was in Turin on Thursday to discuss the 30-year-old’s departure from Serie A.
They claim that “dialogue” has opened between Ramsey’s agent and the Old Lady, and they were both at the training ground to discuss his departure from the club in January.
This should interest Everton, who are keen on signing the 30-year-old and have made contact with his agent ahead of a move in January [Calciomercato].
Juventus want the Welshman to leave and they are already trying to find a way to make him leave; they just want his wages off the books, so could this latest update benefit Everton [Fabrizio Romano]?
Well, it seems as if the Toffees are ahead of other clubs in the race for the former Arsenal man, and the fact that he and his agent were directly negotiating with the club suggests he is on the way out.
He could be the perfect addition to this Everton side as he has Premier League experience and has always known where the goal is.
If you add his undoubted qualities to this Toffees team, we can imagine that he would prove to be a superb signing.
So, now we just have to see what happens because it seems inevitable that Ramsey will return to the Premier League in January.
The question is, can the Toffees win the race and seal what would be a massive coup?
