Paul Merson predicts the result of Crystal Palace v Everton
Everton will travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Sunday in the Premier League.
Ahead of the match, Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has predicted a 2-1 victory for the Eagles.
Merson feels that the Toffees will become a different team when Dominic Calvert-Lewin returns, but right now they’re pretty average.

“Crystal Palace are in a situation where they’re playing well but can’t seem to win a game at the moment. They keep playing well and losing – that worries me, because when they do start playing badly, they’ll definitely lose,” wrote Merson for SportsKeeda.
“Injuries have been a massive concern for Everton in the Premier League. [Dominic] Calvert-Lewin is a big miss for them, and I’d make a little bit of an excuse for them because he does improve Everton. They’ll be a different team when he’s back, but will they be able to keep him?
“I don’t think Everton are very good at the moment. They were very fortunate to win the Arsenal game, and I don’t think they’ll be able to defeat Crystal Palace this weekend.”
No excuses
The last-gasp winner from Demarai Gray sealed a crucial victory for Everton in their previous game against Arsenal.
It has not only lifted the mood of the place but also relieved the pressure a bit after a turbulent phase.

Rafa Benitez has been backed by Farhad Moshiri. Marcel Brands has left the club and it will give the Spaniard more freedom and power over transfers dealings and player selections.
Once such a decision has been taken, the club must stick with it as long as it works.
Back to back wins against two London clubs will give the Toffees a massive lift.
It is also the best time to face the Eagles who are struggling a bit in the league. They have failed to win in their last four games in the league, losing three of them.
Having said that, they lost only by a 1-0 margin in their last two games, and they will be looking to bounce back to winning ways against the Toffees.
