Peter Reid delivers verdict on Everton 3-1 loss v Crystal Palace

Peter Reid has delivered a brutal reaction on Twitter after Everton lost 3-1 against Crystal Palace in the Premier League clash on Sunday at Selhurst Park.

Conor Galagher scored twice, while James Tomkins added another for the home side. Salomon Rondon pulled one back for the Toffees in the 70th minutes after coming off the bench.

Reid has spoken what the majority of the fans have been saying elsewhere, that is – such performances are painful to watch.

The Everton legend wrote on Twitter: “Never on the front foot, tough watch that.”

Hard to explain

Benitez was booed by the away fans after he decided to take off Richarlison when the Toffees were already 2-0 down!

The first half was dreadful while individual errors have made it even worse.

Demarai Gray, who was brilliant otherwise, gave away a poor pass that let in Jordan Ayew who found Gallagher to score his first goal of the game.

Richarlison was unhappy with the decision from Benitez and it provoked an angry reaction from the travelling fans.

Gallagher scored a wonderful second goal right at the end, but Seamus Coleman’s horrible defending was beyond belief.

The Toffees have now suffered their fourth defeat in five games. They face a daunting trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea next on Thursday.

Everton have lost four away games in a row and the fans are frustrated with what they are witnessing at the moment.
