Everton make bid to sign Ukraine left-back Vitaly Mykolenko
Everton have made a bid to sign Ukraine and Dynamo Kyiv left-back Vitaly Mykolenko, according to online news outlet Zorya Londonsk.
The Ukraine-focused Twitter account is followed by Roshane Thomas and Jordan Campbell, journalists at The Athletic.
Writing via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon (14 December), they claim the Blues have made an offer for the 22-year-old.
They said: “According to our sources there has been an offer from Everton & an Italian club.
“But a move to either isn’t at an advanced stage just yet.
“Especially with the Everton managerial situation so volatile at the moment because if [Rafa] Benitez goes before January then the [Lucas] Digne situation resolves easily.”

Digne out?
The recent fall-out between Digne and Benitez has been well-publicised, with the French full-back left out of Everton’s last two matchday squads as a result of a row with the Spaniard at Finch Farm.
Ben Godfrey has been deputising at left-back in Digne’s absence with no other senior left-backs at the club after Thierry Small’s permanent exit in the summer was followed by Niels Nkounkou’s loan move to Standard Liege.
Benitez has not ruled Digne out of Thursday’s clash at Chelsea (16 December) but this latest report suggests Digne could be sidelined at Everton, or even sold, if Benitez remains at the club.
Mykolenko is currently starring for Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukrainian Premier League and he has made five appearances for them in the Champions League this season, playing in both games against German giants Bayern Munich.
He started his career at Kyiv and has made over 100 appearances since making his debut in 2017.
In other Everton news, Newcastle are plotting a January deal for this Blues star and £17.1million will seal the deal.
