View: Everton must act quickly as Newcastle pushing ahead to sign Kieran Trippier
Everton must act quickly to sign Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid in January after Newcastle United have joined the race.
According to a report from The Telegraph, the Magpies are “pushing ahead” with attempts to sign the England full-back in January.
Despite the Saudi Arabian takeover, Newcastle are still in the relegation zone. However, Eddie Howe will be given funds in January to bolster the squad, and he has earmarked Trippier as his top target.

Everton must not miss out on this opportunity.
The Toffees have been linked with a move for the versatile full-back earlier this month [90 mins].
The 31-year-old is a quality player, with the Daily Mail even hailing him as “phenomenal” for his consistency in recent years.
The former Tottenham Hotspur defender has grown into a key player for Gareth Southgate’s England squad, and he would be an ideal signing for the Toffees.

Everton are crying for a quality full-back – both right and left-back – and Trippier will be more than a handy option.
Capable of delivering brilliant crosses, and equally good at set-pieces, he will add new dynamism in the defensive ranks.
On top of that, he is a solid defender. He is vastly experienced and has plenty of football left in him.
Trippier personally prefers to move back to the Premier League but will be interested in joining clubs that are struggling at the moment?
Nevertheless, the Toffees must make a solid effort to bring him to Goodison Park next month.
