Everton fans required to provide vaccination evidence or negative test at Goodison Park
Everton supporters will have to provide evidence of vaccination or provide a negative test before entering Goodison Park for matches.
Sky Sports shared the major update on Wednesday morning (15 December), in a video relayed on the Football Daily Twitter account.
Sky Sports News presenter Jasper Taylor said: “Some more breaking news to give you. Liverpool City Council’s ground safety advisory group has recommended to approve the covid plan B protocols for both Everton and Liverpool.”

Co-presenter Jessica Creighton added: “It means that fans will be asked to provide evidence of vaccination and/or provide a negative lateral flow test, and that’s before they enter Goodison or Anfield.”
Inevitable
It seemed like something that was always likely to happen given recent government advice and the fears that are starting to emerge over football.
There have even been suggestions that football may need to be shut down again, as it did during the 2019/20 campaign, as England battles against the new covid variant Omicron.
Premier League clubs have already been forced to postpone fixtures recently after outbreaks.
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have been affected with both clubs having matches postponed in the last week.
Players and staff are being urged to adopt an even more cautious approach as they bid to minimise the number of positive cases.

Now, more steps are being taken with fans to protect spectators.
It’s a decision that will naturally cause consternation with some – vaccines and the way covid should be dealt with have attracted widely differing viewpoints around the country and world.
Whatever one’s opinion, the rule is simple now for Everton fans – if you want to watch the Blues at Goodison Park, you must show evidence of your vaccination or provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test.
In other Everton news, the Blues have made an approach to sign this Spain-born sensation on loan in January.
