According to Sport Mediaset, Juventus are ready to include Arthur Melo in a swap deal to land Everton left-back Lucas Digne in the January transfer window.

The Frenchman is out of favour at Goodison Park after falling out with Rafa Benitez, and an exit next month is all but guaranteed.

Digne, 28, is not short of suitors given his quality, and the Serie A giants are keen as they want to strengthen at the back.

We asked our esteemed panel of Everton Super Fans over on Facebook what they thought about a swap deal that would see the Brazilian midfielder move to Goodison Park with the left-back going in the opposite direction, and here is how they replied.

Arthur was not able to prove his quality in Barcelona as Xavi’s touted heir, while his time in Turin has not gone as planned.

However, a move to Everton could get him back to his best.

Playing for the Toffees comes with less pressure and media scrutiny when compared to Juve or Barca, and going about his job without that extra luggage could be the trigger he needs to finally start attaining greater heights.

The 25-year-old will also get to play regularly given his quality, and he could force his way back into the star-studded national team after recently losing his berth.

Ideally, Everton would love to cash in on Digne given their Financial Fair Play shortcomings, but landing Arthur in exchange is a bargain they should be all over.

Rafa Benitez needs to strengthen in the middle of the park, and the South American has the required creativity the Toffees are missing in the final third.

He will be keen to prove his quality in the Premier League should a move work out, and the fans would love to see such a deal go through.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are plotting January loan-to-buy bid for centre-mid hailed by Jack Grealish last month.
