Lucas Digne has told Everton he wants January Chelsea move
French left-back Lucas Digne has made it clear to Everton that he would love the chance to move to Chelsea in January, according to 90min.
The 28-year-old is wanted by the Champions League defending champions after they lost Ben Chilwell to a season-ending injury, and they are prepared to sign him permanently provided an option to do so is appearance-based.
Chelsea would be taking Digne’s whole wage packet off Everton’s hands, and Rafa Benitez has told the Goodison Park hierarchy that he can leave, with Dynamo Kiev’s Vitaliy Mykolenko set to arrive in January.

Good deal
Clearly, there is no going back for the former Barcelona man after he fell out with the Toffees manager, and an exit is the best solution for both parties.
While Chelsea see Digne as an ideal fit to Thomas Tuchel’s system of wing-backs, it remains to be seen how much Everton will demand for his services.
Given his situation, the Merseysiders are slightly at a disadvantage when negotiating with clubs, and they are not likely to get full value for him.
The Stamford Bridge outfit wanted Digne in 2020 and did hold talks before opting for Chilwell instead [90min].

It appears that he still has admirers at the club, and the chance to join a side playing regular Champions League football and challenging for major silverware is definitely tempting.
A loan deal with an option to buy could be agreed from the look of things, and the earlier an agreement can be sealed, the better for everyone involved.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are plotting January loan-to-buy bid for centre-mid hailed by Jack Grealish last month.
