New footage emerges as Everton continue to develop new stadium

New footage has emerged showing onsite developments as Everton continue to build their new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock.

Work on Liverpool’s waterfront has been underway since July after a Liverpool City Council planning committee passed the plans in February before they were approved by the government a few months later.

Since then, the Blues have been hard at work. All of the non-listed buildings on the site have all been demolished, the dock has been filled with sand and the beginnings of the concrete foundations have begun to be laid at several sections of the site.

The Toffees also announced that the first section of the concrete structure of Everton’s new stadium has been erected on the site.

The giant pre-cast concrete panels and pillars installed this week are the first structural elements of the North West core. Which will include the entrance turnstiles to the North Stand and create support for the entry and exit stairs leading to the concourse areas.

Youtuber, Mister Drone UK has kept up to date with the stadium developments constantly, using his drone to capture the footage.

Opportunities

This is revolutionary for Everton on and off the pitch. It solidifies their status as one of England’s greatest and most historic clubs.

Their brand-new state of the art stadium will quickly turn into one of the country’s most iconic grounds as it sits proudly on Liverpool historic waterfront.

The project is set to give Everton a huge financial booster with an estimated extra 1.4million tourists to the city of Liverpool. Not to mention the 15,000 jobs it will create which is excellent for both Everton as a club and Liverpool.

The scheme will also trigger £650m worth of accelerated regeneration having a direct benefit on the local Ten streets development.

The wealth created from all of the business side of things will certainly help the Blues in terms of football going forward. That is the one area Everton seriously lacked in comparison to the strategically richer clubs.

The Toffees needed a sustainable income source that can provide the club with enough money to adequately reinvest in the team.

The long-term money this project could bring Everton could revolutionise the team and the club.
