Inter ‘make approach’ for Everton defender Lucas Digne – report
Inter Milan have made” an approach in the last few hours” for Everton defender Lucas Digne over a potential January transfer, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The Toffees star has been out of the side for the last three games after a fallout with manager Rafa Benitez, which has seen him set for a transfer away from the club at the earliest opportunity.
After links with several clubs, it seems as though Serie A champions Inter Milan are making their move with an approach as the transfer window prepares to open.

According to GDS, Digne and Inter are both interested in making a deal happen and the agents involved have ‘guaranteed’ that a loan deal is a possibility.
The report says that during the contact between the clubs, Everton have made it clear they are willing to loan him but only with an obligatory buy-clause included, which Inter don’t want.
Worthwhile
For Everton, any deal that sees Digne leave the club has to be completely worthwhile for the Blues and a simple loan potentially isn’t.
Digne is unhappy and the manager wants him to leave too following their fallout, so a loan where he returns back in the summer doesn’t solve the situation but instead just moves it.

The Blues have already seemingly planned for his departure with the reported impending arrival of Vitaly Mykolenko, so it’s clear that Digne doesn’t have a future at the club.
But at 29-years-old, the Toffees know that his resale value is dropping as time goes on so they want to secure as much money for him as they can.
It’s in Inter’s best interests to try and secure a deal quickly for the left-back considering the interest in him from other teams and Everton will know that, so they should stick to their guns and hold out for what they want.
