Juventus to offer Aaron Ramsey in exchange for Everton’s Lucas Digne

Everton are set to be offered Aaron Ramsey on loan in exchange for Lucas Digne by Juventus in January, according to Tutto Juve.

The Toffees are set to allow French left-back Digne to leave the club during the winter transfer window after a fall out with manager Rafa Benitez.

Digne hasn’t featured in any of the last three games for the club and has been linked with a move to Chelsea, Inter Milan and Napoli. It now seems that Juventus have joined the race though and have an interesting offer to make.

Everton

According to TuttoJuve.com, Juventus want to offer an exchange of loans for the 29-year-old defender which would see them send Welsh midfielder Ramsey back to the Premier League.

The Serie A side are desperate to get Ramsey’s wages off their books before his contract expires in the summer and are hopeful that Everton would take him, while also boosting their own squad strength.

Intriguing

While Ramsey has barely played football while playing in Serie A, he was once described by Arsene Wenger as ‘special‘ and has shown that he still has quality when he features for Wales.

His quality in midfield is one of the biggest and most glaring absences in the Everton squad right now, so if Benitez has the chance to improve that area of the squad he should.

Everton

Signing Ramsey on loan would allow Everton to review their options in the summer but also give them the mid-season boost of quality and talent they need.

It would also allow them to move Digne on without too much hassle, although they would surely prefer to get a lump sum of cash instead if they can.

Digne would get Champions League football, Ramsey would finally be a regular in a team at club level again and everyone would be happier with the outcome. Seems like a win-win situation all-round.
