Yannick Bolasie reacts as Lucas Digne linked with Everton exit

Yannick Bolasie has taken to Twitter to share his reaction to a transfer report on Everton defender Lucas Digne.

The Frenchman apparently has fallen out of favour of Rafael Benitez, and he is being targeted by Chelsea.

According to reports from Goal.com, the Blues could attempt to convince the Toffees to allow Digne to leave on a six-month loan deal.

Bolasie has reacted to the story, shared by Everton Blue Army with a face-palm emoji reply.

Unlikely

The report from Goal has claimed that the French international is being offered to several clubs.

It would be a massive blunder from the Toffees if they allow Digne to leave on loan, to any Premier League club, let alone Chelsea.

The 28-year-old may not be in Rafa Benitez’s first-team plans, but sending him out on loan, especially at a time when the squad is severely ravaged with injuries, makes no sense at all.

If Benitez really wants to force Digne out of the club, then he should look to do so in the summer. Even if, Digne is limited to bit-part roles, he could still be a lethal weapon from the bench.

The reaction from Bolasie is apt here. The 43-times capped French international has underperformed this season, but there is a feeling that he hasn’t been used properly by Benitez.

There’s no point sending him out on loan. Either sell him at a decent price or use him at least for the rest of the season.

Digne has made 13 appearances in the Premier League this season. His last appearance has come in the 4-1 defeat against Liverpool earlier this month.
