Kevin Campbell has backed Dominic Calvert-Lewin to be back available for Everton in the Premier League over the weekend.

The ex-Toffees talisman insisted that the forward will be welcomed back into the side with open arms after missing months through injury.

The England international admitted that he was aiming for Boxing Day, but with two postponements, the next game is against Brighton on Sunday.

“If he could have made it for Boxing Day, I expect him to make this one,” he exclusively told Goodison News.

“Maybe the extra few days makes him even more prepared, Everton have really missed him, they’ve missed his prowess at the top end of the pitch.

“It’s another threat that the defence has to account for, so I think he’s going to be very much welcomed into the team.”

Calvert-Lewin has been given an extra week to work even harder in order to be as fit as possible for this weekend.

The Toffees have missed him dearly in the final third in recent months, and that torment is finally set to come to an end.

Brighton will be no easy game, but it is actually one of the last games Calvert-Lewin played in this season and we all know what happened there.

Bring it on.
