View: Everton should avoid on the decline Philippe Coutinho
Everton should steer clear of Philippe Coutinho amid speculation linking the former Liverpool man to a move back to Merseyside.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian would like to stay in Europe if he is to leave the Nou Camp with the Toffees circling.
Although he is a proven star in England, Coutinho has struggled to find his feet since leaving Merseyside in 2018.

The Maestro failed to make an impact at Catalonian giants Barcelona much to the surprise of everyone in England.
He was later loaned out to Bayern Munich in an attempt to regain his form and confidence, but the loan move was unsuccessful with the Brazilian being sent back to Spain in a worse state than when he left.
On the decline
Having failed at two European giants as well as his affiliation with the red half of Liverpool, whether the Blues should make a move for the attacker is up for debate.
It is astonishing that the Toffees are even considering this move considering their very recent experiences with Rafa Benitez.

The former Liverpool manager has struggled to get the fans on board since joining Everton, even when the team were playing well.
The moment the team started to struggle things quickly soured at Everton with his Liverpool background being a huge factor.
Signing a player from your rivals is risky, especially when they are well past their prime, cost a huge fee and haven’t exactly performed well for the past few seasons.
Coutinho is approaching 30 and would cost a reported £41.9million as well as a weekly wage similar to the staggering £323,000-a-week on his deal at Barca as per AS.
This move is a controversial one for the Blues, one they should avoid if they wish to learn from past mistakes.
