Inter Milan waiting for positive response from Everton to sign Lucas Digne
Inter Milan are waiting for a “positive response” from Everton to sign Lucas Digne in the January window, according to reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The famous Italian pink newspaper (31 December, page 10) has claimed that Inter ideally want a loan move for the French defender who is out-of-favour under Rafa Benitez.
There is also a possibility of signing him on loan now with an obligation to buy him next summer. But, Benitez has other plans.

Patience
Everton need to be patient with Digne’s situation considering the fact that the winter market is not an ideal time for smooth business.
The 28-year-old has made 13 appearances this season for the Toffees, but Benitez is reportedly willing to let him go.
Premier League rivals Chelsea are also interested in signing him [Goal.com], but selling him abroad makes more sense.

Ideally, the Toffees should look for direct transfer, and recoup the money at least they paid for him.
A loan move with an option to buy may have been discussed as well, but it seems Benitez has other ideas.
Everton are reportedly lining up moves for Nathan Patterson [The Mirror] and Vitaliy Mykolenko [The Mirror], and should they get those deals done, it could pave the way for Digne’s departure.
For Digne, a move to Inter is appealing. He will join a club that are challenging for the title, while he can play in the Champions League as well.
In other Everton news, Benitez is increasingly likely to sacrifice this star player in January.
