Peter Reid claims ‘major problems’ at Everton following Brighton defeat
Peter Reid says there are “major problems” at Everton as their poor form continued with a defeat at Goodison Park.
The Blues suffered a 3-2 loss against Brighton on Sunday which sees them remain in 15th place in the Premier League.
Pressure is continuously rising for Rafa Benitez and his players as the Toffees look to get themselves out of their current rut.

Former Everton player, Peter Reid, took to Twitter to express his frustration.
“Major problems at Goodison Park, huge concerns about the direction of the football club.”

Everton were second best all over the park yet again. There were glimmers of hope, but it simply wasn’t good enough.
This poor run of form can’t go on any longer otherwise the Blues’ flirtation with the relegation zone will become a full-blown relationship. Five wins in 18 games in the league this season is nowhere near good enough and the players as well as Benitez and his staff must hold themselves to account.
Benitez is definitely past his prime, but he is still a great tactician with tonnes of experience in the Premier League – he knows how to get results.
The players have to give it their all whilst on the pitch and do everything within their power to win the game for Everton, something that hasn’t been seen frequently enough with this group.

There were signs of positives with a stunning performance from Anthony Gordon as he secured a brace. A return for Dominic Calvert-Lewin was also a huge lift despite his penalty miss.
Things aren’t all doom and gloom for the Toffees but it’s a long way from where they want to and probably should be with the tools at their disposal.
