AC Milan keeping tabs on Everton defender Yerry Mina

Serie A giants AC Milan are keeping tabs on Everton defender Yerry Mina, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport.

The report claims that Milan are keen to sign Sven Botman from Lille, but should they fail in their attempt they could move for Mina.

The Colombian has emerged as a viable alternative for them. At the moment, there’s no offer for him, but Milan are evaluating all options.

Time to cash in?

Mina has a contract at the club till 2023, and probably it’s time for the Toffees to cash in on him.

The Colombian defender has made only six starts in the Premier League, and he has struggled with fitness once again.

When fit, he is arguably the best of the lot Everton have. He has got “unbelievable” qualities, but there lies the problem – he hardly remains fit.

It has become a big headache for the club, with The Athletic previously claiming that the Toffees could sell him.

It remains to be seen whether Milan come up with a formal offer for the former Barcelona defender this January, if they fail to sign Botman.

In all probability, Milan will look for a loan move, and that is something Everton are strongly against at the moment.

The Toffees could look to bring in a new centre-back in January, but they will first need to offload either Mina or Mason Holgate to free up the space.
