Jean-Philippe Gbamin told he can leave Everton this month
Ivory Coast international midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin has been told he can leave Everton this month, according to Liverpool Echo.
However, while Rafa Benitez would be prepared to sell the 26-year-old to help raise funds for a squad revamp, the player will seek a temporary departure from Goodison Park instead.
Gbamin is wanted by some clubs in Germany and Italy, and he will be hoping to secure a move and prove himself elsewhere after a torrid time on Merseyside.

Everton career over?
The midfielder joined the Toffees from Bundesliga outfit Mainz in the summer of 2019, but he has only played seven times since his £25million move.
Benitez handed him a rare start against Wolverhampton Wanderers in November, but he was hauled off after 45 minutes.
The Spaniard is looking to sign another midfielder this month, and the fact that Gbamin has played just two games since then is a clear indicator that he is not in the first-team plans at Everton.
He will be keen to get his career back on track at another club, and his international career was dealt a massive blow after he was left out of Ivory Coast’s Africa Cup of Nations squad.

Gbamin needs to go where he can play regularly and get his confidence and mojo back.
Whether he still has a future at Everton remains to be seen, but he has to get back to playing first, and a loan exit this month could do him a lot of good.
He has not come any close to justifying the fee spent on him, and he has a lot of work ahead of him to have any chance of doing that.
