Everton and Aston Villa to intensify Lucas Digne talks on Tuesday
Everton are set to intensify talks with Aston Villa today over the big-money sale of Lucas Digne, according to the Daily Mail.
Writing in their print edition (11 January, page 76), the two Premier League clubs are set for a showdown over the move.
Everton are said to want a deal that will rise to £25million for the French international, who is all but certain to leave Goodison Park this month.

With talks intensifying today, we could start to see movement.
It has been made no secret that Digne will be leaving, so the quicker it happens, it could be best for everyone involved.
Nathan Patterson and Vitaliy Mykolenko have already joined the club this month for a combined total of around £30million.
With Financial Fair Play rules tight before those deals, it looks as though it is essential that the Toffees get at least the £25million mooted.

Time to go.
Digne was brilliant during his time at Goodison Park, but not one player is bigger than the shirt or the club.
The French international has to be sold, and the fact that he has gone to another club in a similar position proves that he isn’t the hottest property at 28-years-old.
Ultimately, Everton will be taking home some profit on the left-back and that is the main thing here – they won’t be getting ripped off.
Rafa Benitez may have contributed to this fallout, but the end is now in sight and this sale could potentially lead to another big signing.
It is desperately needed in this squad, and they now have just over three weeks to get anything over the line.
