GN View: Anwar El Ghazi will be risk-free business for Everton
Everton have made an approach to sign Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi in the January transfer window, and it will be a risk-free business.
According to reports from 90 min, the Toffees have approached Villa to sign their 26-year-old winger on loan for the rest of the season, but the Midland clubs would prefer a permanent move.
The report claims that Villa “will listen to” the proposal from the Toffees.
Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers has also claimed that it will be a loan deal for El Ghazi.
The former Lille and Ajax man joined Villa in 2019, and he has flattered to deceive.
Last season, he scored 11 goals in all competitions, but it was still hit and miss from him.
In the absence of Jack Grealish for a few months, Dean Smith kept faith in him, but he failed to step up during that phase.
In terms of talent and skill, he is ‘first-class’, and signing him on loan makes it a risk-free business.
Rafa Benitez has done wonders with Demarai Gray, a player who struggled to make an impact in Germany and joined on a measly fee.
The Spaniard will be hoping to get the best out of El Ghazi, like the way Gray has stepped up.
There is no commitment to sign the Dutch winger next summer, but the deal could turn into a masterstroke if he proves to be a success.
