Fabrizio Romano: Anwar El Ghazi to Everton will be confirmed today
Everton are reportedly close to signing Anwar El Ghazi from Aston Villa on loan.
According to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano the Dutch winger has completed his medical already, and the official confirmation will be made on Thursday (13 January).
He will become the third signing of the January window, following the arrivals of Vitaly Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson.

Romano wrote on Twitter: “Anwar El Ghazi has signed his contract as new Everton player, deal sealed and here-we-go confirmed. Medical completed, official announcement will be today.
“El Ghazi joins on loan from Aston Villa. Buy option clause [not mandatory] is also included in the deal.”
Smart signing
It will be a smart signing for Everton although the club have taken a gamble here.
El Ghazi joined Villa in 2019 and he has flattered to deceive at the Midlands club.
There were moments where he showed his class, but he also lacked consistency in his approach.
However, the 26-year-old winger is a talented player and Everton will reap the benefit if he can be properly utilised.

With Alex Iwobi underperforming, the club needed to sign an extra attacking midfielder this month, and getting an experienced Premier League player on loan is good business.
The club also did a good job to include a buy-out clause in the deal, although it is not mandatory.
It means if El Ghazi turns out to be a success, which Rafa Benitez is probably hoping then the Toffees can sign him next summer.
While if he turns out to be a flop, the club will have no obligation to buy him. He can return to Villa. It’s a risk-free business.
In other Everton news, this Toffee is close to an exit with a medical now underway at his supposed new club.
