Everton boss Rafa Benitez could be sacked tonight
Everton could reportedly sack their manager Rafa Benitez tonight (January 15) after they suffered a 2-1 loss against Norwich City.
According to talkSPORT, the Spaniard’s future at the club may be untenable after losing to the bottom side in the Premier League.
Despite backing him with three signings in the January window, his time at the club appears to be coming to an end.
Via their official Twitter account, talkSPORT shared, “Everton could sack their manager Rafa Benitez by tonight. talkSPORT sources understand.”
Big news
Benitez appears to have found himself in a grave and there seems to be no way out of it.
After driving Lucas Digne out of the club, it was understood that he had the backing of the board.
However, after this report, there are major doubts about it and Farhad Moshiri may be starting to lose patience.

This comes as a huge surprise as they supported him while offloading Digne and also when they decided to part ways with Marcel Brands.
It will be interesting to see where Everton go from here if they do sack Benitez right away.
There aren’t too many managers available who could bring instant stability so holding on to him could make a lot of sense.
In other Everton news, the club want to sign a player labelled ‘Excellent’ by Cristiano Ronaldo with the European club keen on cashing in.
