Everton could sack Rafa Benitez after loss v Norwich – talkSPORT journalist

Everton could sack Rafa Benitez after they lost 2-1 against Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday, according to Alex Crook.

Writing via his personal Twitter account on Saturday, after the game had ended, the talkSPORT journalist tweeted “that could be it for Rafa”.

Everton fans unveiled anti-Benitez banners and one fan even invaded the pitch as tensions rose in East Anglia.

Get rid – now

Everton have shot themselves in the foot massively.

In fact, they’ve shot themselves in the face.

It was always a risk hiring Benitez because you just knew that there was going to be no patience at all from fans if things started to go wrong.

That’s not us having a dig at the fans because let’s admit it, it’s true.

Evertonians have every right to be angry. An already-risky appointment hasn’t worked out and the club is now in a state where it’s hurtling towards the Premier League’s relegation zone.

Everton

Only six points separate the 15th-placed Toffees and the bottom-three while there are a few teams who also have games in hand to play.

Of course, the Blues have matches in hand too but given the state of our form, we hold no hope of rescuing much-needed points.

Benitez has to go.

Yes, he’s only just made some new signings but we have no hope in him being able to get them to perform well.
