Don Hutchinson urges Everton to sign Graham Potter
Don Hutchison has suggested that Everton should sign Graham Potter as their next manager.
The Toffees are in the process of appointing their next boss, and several candidates are being considered at the moment, including Potter.
The Brighton boss has been doing an incredible job, with Pep Guardiola calling him the best English manager at the moment.

Hutchison posted a tweet today (19 January): “Don’t take my word for it.
“I’d like to think Pep knows what he is talking about (followed by a screenshot from ESPN having a quote from Guardiola that says ‘the best English manager right now’).”
Hutchison also posted another tweet yesterday (18 January) on Potter: “I wonder if anyone at board room level at Everton are actually watching this Brighton performance/individuals and still think Graham Potter is not the man for Everton.”
He also added hashtags saying “classy” and “brilliant coach”.
Big decision
Everton must get their next appointment spot on after having learnt the hard lessons by appointing Rafa Benitez in the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports journalist, Alan Myers, Potter is one of the candidates who is under consideration.
The problem is the Brighton boss has suggested (18 January) that he is happy at where he is and considers it as one of the best-run clubs in the league.
He feels that Brighton are an ambitious club and that he wants to get on with the job he’s doing.

While it doesn’t mean that he won’t be interested in taking the Everton job if the Toffees do make an approach for him, the comments clearly suggest that he is not looking to jump the ship at the first opportunity.
Potter would be a smart appointment for Everton. Brighton have shown gradual progress under him while his side can play an attractive brand of football.
However, whether he has the charisma to attract top players to the club is another question.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are plotting January loan-to-buy bid for centre-mid hailed by Jack Grealish last month.
