Everton to be hit with ‘devastating’ financial consequences if Moshiri goes

Everton will suffer “devastating” financial consequences if Farhad Moshiri is hounded out of the club by fans, according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper reports that protests at Goodison Park on Saturday were mainly aimed at Bill Kenwright, with fans not targetting Moshiri.

It is understood that Moshiri has already invested £500million into the club, as well as a £500million new stadium.

Everton are falling into the clutches of a Premier League relegation battle and while that would be disastrous for the Merseyside club, it wouldn’t hit them in the pocket more than Moshiri walking away.

On a knife-edge

Where do Everton go from here?

As it stands, the club is getting close and closer to the Premier League’s bottom three, they don’t have a manager, they don’t have a director of football, players are out of form, injuries have been rife, one of our best players has been sold and there’s now protests emerging in the stands.

Everton are the Premier League crisis club right now.

Moshiri is to blame for a lot of it.

He’s thrown money at managers, players and a new stadium without really doing his due diligence when it comes to hiring his senior staff.

Moshiri is guided by football power brokers and Alisher Usmanov, when he really needs to be guided by someone who has the club at heart.

Kenwright hasn’t done a lot of good himself but we’d trust him to steer us away from the Premier League’s depths more than Moshiri, a man who seems more intent on meeting football celebrities rather than doing some actual good for the Blues.

In other Everton news, contact has been made with the agent of a manager who “ticks all the boxes” for the Toffees.
