Farhad Moshiri eager on forward-thinking appointment as Vitor Pereira talks continue – report

Farhad Moshiri is eager to appoint a “forward-thinking” manager as Everton close in on replacing Rafa Benitez.

The Daily Mail (print edition, 24/01) has reported that is why Vitor Pereira is emerging as a leading contender for the role.

Pereira has been interviewed by the Toffees for a third time throughout his career in the past week, with the possibility of him being appointed growing stronger.

Moshiri is once again leading the hunt for the new manager at Goodison Park, with his track record simply shocking at this stage.

If Pereira wasn’t good enough during his first or second interview, things must have really gone downhill for the Blues.

Moshiri is said to want a forward-thinking appointment, something he plans to do by dipping into the past of his previous hunts.

Bill Kenwright was confronted after the 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa, with fans anger more than justifiable at this stage.

Nightmare.

This is becoming beyond embarrassing.

Everton are a club full of passion, but that is being slowly ripped away by Moshiri and his dreadful football knowledge and management.

Pereira may have succeeded at clubs such as Porto and Olympiakos, but those are clubs where you have more than a 50% chance of winning the league.

This is Everton, a huge club on the verge of dropping into the relegation zone despite never falling out of the Premier League in our history.

Pereira was sacked by Fenerbache last month, with that decision not even cold before he is potentially thrown into one of the most high-pressure jobs in England.

Moshiri has not learned his lesson, and we could really be in trouble now if this decision backfires.
