Kaveh Solhekol: Everton want midfield transfer, three names mentioned
Kaveh Solhekol has shared that Everton are pushing for a deadline-busting transfer for a new midfielder at Goodison Park.
The Sky Sports journalist has insisted that one more transfer is possible before the deadline slams shut on Monday evening.
Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz, Tottenham outcast Tanguy Ndombele and Chelsea playmaker Ruben Loftus-Cheek have all been mentioned.
Speaking live on Sky Sports’ Transfer Show on Friday (28 January), Solhekol shared the latest transfer news at Goodison Park.
“Everton could make a late move for a midfielder before the window closes,” he said.
“There’s been interest in Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Douglas Luiz and Tanguy Ndombele.”
Lampard effect.
With Frank Lampard on the verge of becoming our new manager [Fabrizio Romano], things are really starting to look up.
Not only will his big-name galvanise the squad, but the fact he is one of the greatest midfielders to ever come out of England, players will be desperate to play under him.
Look at Loftus-Cheek for example, the Chelsea powerhouse worked with Lampard at Stamford Bridge, and will be desperate for more playing time.
Where better to go than Everton? He knows Lampard’s style inside and out and will be guaranteed playing time given our injury hell.
Abdoulaye Doucoure and Fabian Delph are the latest in a long list of injuries, and it is time to get one of these three in the building before the end of play on Monday.
