Van de Beek signs Everton contract with medical now done – Fabrizio Romano
Donny van de Beek has completed a medical ahead of joining Everton on loan from Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reports that van de Beek, 24, is on Merseyside and will join the Blues for a loan fee of £500,000 while his £100,000-a-week wages will also be paid in full.
Guardian journalist Fabrizio Romano has added that the Netherlands midfielder has signed a contract at Goodison Park and the announcement of his arrival is now just hours away.
It is understood that Dele Alli will be announced after van de Beek once he’s done his medical.
Starting with a bang
Frank Lampard has been at Goodison Park for a matter of hours and he’s already doing bits to strengthen our midfield.
Van de Beek has been underused massively by Manchester United and will have a massive point to prove in this loan spell at Everton.
And Alli has had a rough time at Tottenham in the last few years and will want to show that he can get back into the England squad ahead of the World Cup later this year.
Both deals make sense and they both add to an area of the squad that has really needed to have some extra quality.

One thing that worries us is the money.
Financial Fair Play has been a massive issue at Goodison Park yet this month we’ve sacked Rafa Benitez, paying him off, while signing Vitaly Mykolenko, Nathan Patterson, Anwar El Ghazi, van de Beek and Alli. Lampard has been hired too and his new backroom staff will also cost money.
Are we pushing the limits? Or are we banking one one shock sale before 11pm tonight?
In other Everton news, Lampard also wants the Blues to sign this big-money midfielder from Paris Saint-Germain.
