Kevin Campbell: Dele Alli and Donny Van de Beek will go straight into Everton side
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has backed Donny Van de Beek and Dele Alli to go straight into the Everton starting XI against Newcastle.
The ex-Toffees talisman insisted that the Blues are crying out for more goal-threat, and that is something both new signings will bring from midfield.
Both Alli and Van de Beek were ineligible for the FA Cup clash against Brentford yesterday, meaning they could make their debut against the Magpies.

“They’ll go straight into the team,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“Without a shadow of a doubt, you need more threats. There needs to be more goal threats, you cannot just rely on Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison.
“Doucoure is injured, so Van de Beek and Alli playing would be a lot more goal threat.”

Needed.
Both will have been crying to get onto the pitch against Brentford watching along yesterday, and they will get that chance very soon.
Newcastle is a huge game, and three points there would put much-needed breathing space between us and relegation.
Having the likes of Alli and Van de Beek to make a real difference in midfield will be key to picking up a result, with Frank Lampard surely desperate to unleash them too.
These were statement signings to make on deadline day, now it is down to this duo to come out and prove themselves where it matters – the pitch.
