Kevin Campbell expects Everton exits in summer under Frank Lampard

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Kevin Campbell has predicted that there will be summer exits on the cards for numerous Everton players under Frank Lampard.

The ex-Toffees talisman admitted that the new manager will be looking at all of the squad, not just in matches but in training, too.

Everton got off to the perfect start under Lampard on Saturday, smashing Brentford 4-1 in the FA Cup fourth round.

“I think what Frank Lampard has got to do is have a look at all of the players,” he exclusively told Goodison News.

“I think this is what he’s got, the players of like six managers, and now he has brought in two of his own. He’s got to pick some teams and watch them in training and try to forge a plan with what he’s got.

“Obviously, right now and then come the summer, I’m sure there will be some moving and shaking to be done.”

Inevitable.

There are some names that spring to mind, immediately.

After yet another big manager pay out to Rafa Benitez, and the two deadline-day signings of Donny Van de Beek and Dele Alli, not doubt finances will be tight.

Cenk Tosun is one who will definitely be leaving once his contract expires, taking away his big wages immediately.

Then eyes will be on the likes of Mason Holgate, who have been linked with exits in the recent past.

Lampard has months to decide, and it will be make or break for many of his players going into Finch Farm every single morning with a point to prove.
