Everton ace Richarlison could leave Goodison Park this summer

Everton might have to look for a replacement for Brazilian star Richarlison next season as he could leave the club in the summer, according to Dean Jones via Give Me Sport.

The 24-year-old arrived at Goodison Park from Watford for £50million in 2018 and has been one of the club’s best players ever since.

But the Brazilian is reported to want a move away from Merseyside at the end of this season and Jones’ information backs up that.

“One of Lampard’s big challenges will be to keep Richarlison,” Jones said, “I’ve been informed for a while that he sees this as his last season at Everton and the talks he had with PSG at the end of the last summer transfer window were pretty detailed.

“Everton need a big few months to convince him to stay – replacing him would be a mammoth task.”

Crucial summer

As if the next transfer window wasn’t important enough, this has made things 100 times more difficult.

Richarlison is almost unplayable when he is at his best and he’s been a real star at Goodison Park since he arrived.

Replacing him is, as Jones rightly said, a mammoth task and one they might not be able to do immediately.

There are far more pressing concerns within the Toffees’ squad that need addressing which might see Richarlison go unreplaced.

But looking at the options already at Finch Farm, Demarai Gray, Andros Townsend, Anthony Gordon and Alex Iwobi are all decent Premier League players so Frank Lampard should focus elsewhere and come back to his wingers if he has the money to do so.

In other Everton news, Louis Saha isn’t convinced by the Toffees’ appointment of Lampard, naming another candidate as the better option.
