Kevin Campbell: Everton need to quickly turn form around after ‘awful’ form in Premier League
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell has insisted that Everton need to turn their “awful” form around sooner rather than later.
The ex-Toffees talisman admitted that the Blues would have pushed on away from relegation fears if they beat Newcastle.
Instead, it ended in defeat and lined up another must-win game against Leeds at Goodison Park this weekend.

“If Everton would have won, it would have kept Newcastle down there,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“You would have thought Everton are going to push on now. After Everton lost, though, it asks more questions, everyone knows that Frank Lampard needs time with the squad, but, you just think to yourself, they better get some results quickly, and their results have been awful in the league.
“The bounce from the FA Cup game needs to come into the league.”

Awful.
Campbell is spot on, everyone knows it will take time.
Having said that, the difference between the weekend and the Newcastle game was simply shocking at parts.
Add the injuries picked up in that one, too, and there are big issues that need to be solved at Goodison Park.
Lampard needs time but in this business, you don’t get luxuries near the relegation zone in the Premier League.
