Everton will back fan groups to create Goodison Park atmosphere
Everton have backed the club fan base to recreate an electrifying atmosphere against Manchester City.
The atmosphere at Goodison Park against Leeds United was amazing, and arguably the best this season, as the Toffees won 3-0.
Barry Williams, of the Everton Fans’ Forum has revealed that the club have backed them to recreate another great atmosphere in their home game against Manchester City.

“We’re going to try and get even more banners out for City. The club have said they’ll back us if it can be done,” said Williams to The Athletic.
Wow
The victory against Leeds was the best performance of this season so far.
It was a huge sigh of relief for Frank Lampard who picked up his first league win as Everton manager.
After the Toffees suffered a 3-1 defeat against Newcastle, a big performance was required, and they delivered just that.
It’s now time for them to build momentum and climb up the table.
Everton face Southampton next, and if they can win that game, the Toffees fans are almost certain to recreate another electrifying atmosphere when they entertain Manchester City on 26 February.

While it’s the players who deserve praise for the performance against Leeds, the role of the fans cannot be understated.
Goodison Park roared and the vociferous created such an atmosphere that was never seen under Rafa Benitez era. It felt like the fans have injected a new sense of belief in the players.
The fan groups are trying to bring more banners and provide strong support to the players, and the club seems to appreciate that.
In other Everton news, one Toffee has received strong backing from talkSPORT hosts for avoiding a pub brawl that broke out after he was taunted.
