Roberto Martinez: Everton have ‘Incredible’ future with new stadium and Frank Lampard

Roberto Martinez has insisted that Everton have an “incredible” future ahead of them beyond this season.

The former manager, who was also in contention before Frank Lampard, admitted that things haven’t been good enough this season.

Martinez admitted that the new stadium, along with Lampard’s control, big things are coming in the future for the Toffees.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live this evening, Martinez shared his thoughts on everything happening at Goodison Park.

“I think Everton has got an incredible future,” he said.

“The news of the new stadium in two years, which is nothing in football, could give a real new start.

“Everton is a big club in terms of expectations, the fans, they know what it means to win the league, win titles, it’s a long time ago but it is still in the DNA and the nature of the club.

“To have 22 points out of 22 games in the Premier League, this is a very difficult situation, but you look at the squad of players and the way Frank Lampard has come in, it’s given a new lease of life to some of the players.”

Incredible.

We know that big things are on the horizon, but there is only one objective that needs sorting between now and the end of the season.

Everton simply need to stay in the Premier League during this campaign, that is the only goal and something that should happen with ease.

Martinez was in the race, but some were not happy to see him potentially returning to Goodison Park after he was sacked all those years ago by none other than Farhad Moshiri.

With his role at Belgium secure now, he appears to be happy to speak out and wish nothing but the best for the Toffees.

Hopefully, we are on to bigger and better things now with Lampard at the helm and we can’t wait to see what happens.
