CSKA Moscow looking for imminent loan deal for Everton ace Jean-Philippe Gbamin – Paul Joyce

CSKA Moscow are looking into a loan deal for Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin this week.

The Times journalist Paul Joyce has reported that the Ivorian could leave Goodison Park until the end of the season soon.

Russian clubs have until the 22nd of February (Tuesday) to complete their business with other clubs despite other deadlines.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Joyce shared that an imminent exit was on the cards at Goodison Park.

“CSKA Moscow looking to sign Everton’s Jean-Philippe Gbamin on loan for the rest of the season,” he said.

Good move.

This would make sense for all parties.

Gbamin has not been getting minutes at Goodison Park, and that doesn’t appear to have changed under Frank Lampard.

With Abdoulaye Doucoure returning, as well as the signings of Donny van de Beek and Dele Alli being signed, the midfield is now packed.

CSKA would only be looking for a loan move, meaning the Toffees wouldn’t lose anything should they allow the Ivorian to leave.

It would then give him the chance to come back and prove himself after finally getting consistent minutes under his belt in Russia.

With the deadline quickly approaching on Tuesday, expect this one to move very fast if all parties indicate they would be willing to get it done.

An exit in February sounds strange, but the transfer window always throws up these kinds of moves – good luck if it happens.
