Kevin Campbell: Everton ‘cull’ needed to find away form
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Everton may have won their previous two games at Goodison Park since Frank Lampard’s arrival but they are still struggling on their travels.
The latest defeat came at St. Mary’s as Southampton hardly had to break a sweat to overcome the Toffees in a 2-0 win for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.
Goals from Stuart Armstrong and Shane Long were enough to see off the Blues who couldn’t manage a single shot on target for the full 90 minutes compared to the Saints’ 11.

Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell is expecting to see Lampard make drastic changes for future away trips as he searches for a result on the road.
“At home, they seem very strong now but, on the road, they just can’t get it together,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“All this is giving the manager plenty of food for thought, I’m sure Frank Lampard will be looking at it and he will know something isn’t right.
“He’s going to have to make changes, chop and change and cull that squad into what he needs because you need to be able to perform on the road and at the moment, they can’t.”

Luckily for Lampard, Everton now have two home games of differing stature as they host Premier League leaders Manchester City on Saturday before National League Boreham Wood visit Goodison the week after.
Their next away trip is in London at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium which could be a very difficult assignment.
All Lampard and Everton fans want to see is an improvement from one game to the next and the results will soon follow if they can achieve that.
In other Everton news, Fabrizio Romano has shared details of an imminent outgoing loan from Merseyside with the final details being decided.
