Everton ace Abdoulaye Doucoure back in full training at Finch Farm
Everton have received a major boost as midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure returns to action at Finch Farm.
The 29-year-old is back in full training having missed the Toffees last three games with a groin injury suffered in the Goodison Park clash v Aston Villa last month.
Frank Lampard will be eager to get one of the Blues’ key midfielders back into the team as he looks to steer his side away from the relegation zone after the club shared the news on Twitter.
Hugely missed
The central midfielders have been the Achilles heel for Everton. It has been an issue for a long time now with the area needing serious investment and the introduction of Lampard as manager has put the spotlight on that area.
The former Chelsea boss loves to play possession based, free flowing, attacking football and the middle of the park is essential in that. It isn’t at all surprising Lampard’s first two pieces of business were central midfield players in Donny van de Beek and a slightly more offensive Dele Alli.

He saw the state of the players the Blues have got in that area and knew it needed fixing as soon as possible upon his arrival.
Doucoure has been instrumental during his time at Everton, establishing himself as one of the key players in the squad. Whenever the Frenchman isn’t in the team, his absence is sorely felt.
Hopefully the former Watford man hits the ground running on his return from injury as it is imperative the Toffees gather some momentum to lift them away from the relegation zone.
