Kevin Campbell: Manchester City to come at Everton with a ‘vengeance’

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Kevin Campbell has insisted that Manchester City will be visiting Everton with a “vengeance” on Saturday evening.

The ex-Toffees talisman has predicted a “crazy” clash at Goodison Park, with Frank Lampard desperate for three points.

Beating City would, of course, help Liverpool in the Premier League title race, but that is at the back of Campbell’s mind.

“It’s going to be very difficult,” he exclusively told Goodison News.

“It’s going to be a corker with Man City, it’s at home, they have to show the same energy. The 12th man is going to be right up for it, again, albeit crazy, but Everton need the points, and if it does their rivals [Liverpool] a favour, so be it.

“Everton need the points, but usually when City get beat they come back with a vengeance.”

Desperate.

The relegation battle is really heating up in the Premier League, and we really need to start picking up some points.

With City and then Spurs to come, it possibly could get rough, but Lampard has to make sure he gives is the best chance of picking up three points.

The fans will be vital, just as they were against Leeds, and it’s time to ramp up the noise yet again.
