Everton boss Frank Lampard says he loves working with Jordan Pickford
Everton manager Frank Lampard has admitted he loves working with “low maintenance” ace Jordan Pickford.
The former Chelsea boss hailed the England international for his hard work and relentless desire to win for the team.
Lampard said in his pre-Tottenham Hotspur press conference: “I have loved working with Jordan and anyone who holds that England number one shirt as long as he has, holds a huge burden.

“It is a pressurised position, on a national level, and he carries that brilliantly.
“A goalkeeper is analysed individually and to the highest degree as an England player.
“Working with him is a pleasure, he is low maintenance, works hard and makes saves and wants to win for the team.”
Number one
Pickford has come under quite a lot of criticism throughout his career having made some very poor mistakes.
He has seemed a bit of a loose cannon at times in between the sticks but as he has got older, he has matured into a much calmer, more assured goalkeeper.

A lot of the credit should go to Gareth Southgate and the work he has done with the Blues keeper whilst away at major tournaments with England.
Some of the former Sunderland shot stoppers best games have been whilst playing for the national side after he worked with specialists to refine his focus, calmness and decision making.
He has since carried that form with him when playing for the Toffees.
Having an assured goalkeeper is one of the most important aspects of having a successful team and the question marks surrounding the 27-year-old have slowly but surely been eradicated.
Lampard’s comments emphasise how far he has come and the new boss will be confident his number one is good enough to help get the team out of the mess they are currently in.
