Ian Wright slams Everton duo Seamus Coleman and Michael Keane
Ian Wright has torn into Everton duo Seamus Coleman and Michael Keane for their performances against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Toffees suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat at the Spurs stadium on Monday in the Premier League.
Keane scored an own goal and was at fault for another goal, while Coleman’s erratic passing also handed Spurs the opportunity to add to their scoreboard.
Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Wright said, “Knowing Frank as well as I do, I feel sorry for him. When they appointed him, I was nervous. I want him to turn things around, but like Carragher said that is a Championship defence.
“Seamus Coleman is at that stage in his career, I thought Jonjoe Kenny would be there now.
“Michael Keane, again. His positioning. He got taken off because of some injury but that guy is an England international.”
Change needed
While it may sound harsh, Coleman’s time at the club may be coming to an end.
He is a big figure inside the dressing room, but has been letting down the team time and again.
With Keane, he’s only there because Yerry Mina is injured and there are no guarantees that the Colombian would even want to stay on beyond the end of the season.

Frank Lampard has got to make these big calls or he may soon find his own job on the line despite only joining the club in January.
One Premier League win since taking over is not exactly the sort of bounce one would’ve hoped for from the former Chelsea manager.
The Blues are in a clear relegation battle and Lampard’s got to show he’s worth his money by keeping them up.
