Salomon Rondon reveals Duncan Ferguson tutoring at Everton
Everton are blessed to have an iconic former striker among their coaching ranks in Duncan Ferguson and the current crop of poachers are loving it.
Particularly benefitting from special tutoring off the big Scot is Venezuelan man-mountain Salomon Rondon.
The 32-year-old is one of just two players to have scored a headed hat-trick in the Premier League with the other being Ferguson himself.

Rondon revealed in an interview with Marca how the former Toffees favourite is teaching him everything he knows to try and unlock the best out of the Venezuelan.
“We always make the joke that Everton should be proud to have the two players who have made a Hat-Trick header in the Premier in the same team,” Rondon said.
“He always jokes about it. He is very close, plays the role of second coach and is aware of certain details that can help the team.
“He teaches me a lot. You work on a thousand details. Placing myself among the central defenders, controlling the ball, having the defender’s reference… all those details are worked on and advice is always well received.”
Untapped potential
At this stage in the season and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin struggling to find his shooting boots, Frank Lampard might have to call upon Rondon more often than he first thought.

He is undoubtedly a huge physical presence on the pitch and no defender will thrive the opportunity to battle him for strength.
Those attributes though aren’t lending themselves to the possession football Lampard seems adamant to play and maybe he needs to change his ways to unleash Rondon onto the Premier League.
If he swallowed his pride and went a little more long-ball, Rondon would all of a sudden become one of the best players at Goodison Park and he may even be able to score the goals that keep them up.
Everton fans might not like to see such old-school methods of winning games but the style of play is irrelevant right now, they need points badly.
