Everton ace Jonjoe Kenny hails ‘different class’ Frank Lampard and staff

Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny has admitted he would do “anything” he possibly can for the Blues as he enjoys regular game time under new boss Frank Lampard.

The Liverpool born player has failed to make his mark with the Toffees as of yet, but he is gathering some momentum thanks to a change in personnel at Finch Farm.

Kenny hailed “different class” Lampard for giving him his chance, something the right-back is adamant he won’t waste.

He told Everton: “I have loved being back in the team, playing for Everton again.

“Frank and his coaching staff have been a different class. They’ve given me – and the rest of the lads – a massive boost.

“He’s given me a shot of belief. I knew what I could do previously, but I’ve been lucky enough that Frank has put that trust in me.

“I’ve played in a few different positions since he came in. I can do that and I’m more than willing to do it. I’ll do anything I possibly can to benefit Everton Football Club.”

Scouser

Kenny’s Everton career looked all but finished earlier in the season. Everton Veteran Seamus Coleman is nearing retirement and the club splashed a hefty £16million on a big future prospect in Nathan Patterson.

It seemed as if the writing was on the wall with no room at right-back for the Kirkdale lad, but he has made some comeback under the new boss and good on him.

He is a scouser and playing for the Toffees means so much more to him than it does to any of the other players and you can see that every time he puts on that blue shirt.

He has beaten all odds after several disappointing loans away from the club and fought his way to where he wants to be. He is a true team player, playing anywhere Lampard needs him which shows his unselfishness for the team.

It is still unknown whether he has a future at the club but if he continues to impress, the new boss might keep him as part of his plan.
