Richarlison stuns Leon Osman in 1st half of Everton v Wolves
It was a very lively start to Everton against Wolves at Goodison Park with Brazilian star Richarlison right in the thick of the action.
The 24-year-old had the game’s first big chance after just seven minutes as he spun in behind the Wolves defence and fired straight at goalkeeper Jose Sa from a tight angle.
Vitaliy Mykolenko played the delightful ball into the channel and SuperSport commentator Leon Osman loved what he saw from his former side.

“Excellent play by Richarlison, so simple,” Osman said. “Just a ball helped in behind (Max) Kilman.
“Richarlison bends his run really well to stay onside from a very simple forward pass by Mykolenko into a wonderful space.
“First touch was decent; second touch was ok but a good save from a tight angle by Jose Sa.”

When we say it was a lively start, that didn’t necessarily mean a game with lots of chances at either end.
It was more the mood of the first half which was quickly turned sour when Hwang Hee-Chan went down not once but twice for the visitors before eventually being subbed off, much to the Gladys Street End’s annoyance.

That was then followed by a coming together between Romain Saiss and Abdoulaye Doucoure in an aerial duel that led to Seamus Coleman and Joao Moutinho having a small scuffle of their own.
Maybe this is exactly what Everton and Frank Lampard need to beat the European chasers because on face value, you might expect the team in the top half to beat the relegation battlers.
But a battle is where the hardened Evertonians can rise above their Midland opponents and show that they are up for the fight this season.
In other Everton news, Lampard has jumped to the defence of one of his star players despite a poor run of form.
