Rob Segal destroys Everton owner Farhad Moshiri in ‘such a mess’ rant

British Super agent Rob Segal has blamed Everton owner Farhad Moshiri for the current state the club finds itself in.

The Blues are currently fighting Premier League relegation under their seventh manager in almost as many years despite investing a vast amount of money into the squad.

Segal claimed Moshiri and the other senior chiefs don’t care about the club in his brutal rant.

He told Caught Offside: “Everton for example, let’s make no bones about this – The reason Everton is in such a mess is because of their owner.

“Everton had people, well-respected footballing people, like Marcel Brands, who took the blame for poor signings, but they were the owner’s signings who listened to a Brazilian agent and the club started buying players he recommended and everyone in football knew it.

He added: “When are these clubs going to learn? In fact, the only people who truly care about the clubs are the fans.”

This comes as no surprise for Evertonians.

They know that not enough people working for the club genuinely care about it. Football has turned into a financially driven game and Moshiri has all of the finances but absolutely no idea how to run a football club which has left Everton in a terrible situation.

For years they have just thrown money at so many different managers which have left the squad completely mismatched. This squad has several different managers’ ideas, playing styles and favoured types of players integrated – no wonder they hardly look like a team when they play.

Just because Moshiri owns the club, that doesn’t mean he knows anything at all about football. He is a businessman at the end of the day and for him to be so involved in the footballing aspects at the club is simply criminal.

Segal questioned when will the Toffees learn, hopefully, sooner rather than later before Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell are ditched and the seemingly everlasting problems go on.

In other Everton news, the Blues are set for a summer of departures amid financial worries according to Dean Jones.
