Frank Lampard delivers Everton injury update ahead of clash v West Ham
Frank Lampard has provided a fitness update on the Everton squad ahead of their clash against West Ham on Sunday, revealing two players are available again.
The Toffees have had a two week break during the international period and have been working hard to get players back for their end-of-season run in after a 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace last time out.
Now manager Lampard has revealed he can welcome back both Donny Van de Beek and Asmir Begovic for selection for this weekend’s game, but three first-team aces have been ruled out.
Fabian Delph hasn’t featured since December but has returned to training, although he isn’t expected to be available for another week or so while Yerry Mina is about two weeks away following a thigh problem.
Andros Townsend is out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to reconstruct a ruptured ACL picked up against Palace, while midfielder Allan is suspended after his red card against Newcastle.

Thankfully for Everton, they’ve got no fresh injury concerns and they’ve got players on their way back to fitness which can only be a good thing ahead of their upcoming run.
The experience of Delph and Mina can only be a positive returning to the dressing room, training ground and eventually pitch, while the return to fitness of Van de Beek after illness is a good thing too.

In addition to that however, the team getting the chance to have two weeks of work with the manager to work on tactics, mentality and patterns of play is essential if they’re to get out of this mess.
The likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Dele Alli have been able to work on a potential relationship together in training while getting sharper and fitter to help contribute.
Lampard will have a few decisions to make when it comes to team selection, but it’s a good headache to have when you’re in this position and fingers crossed they can take advantage of that.
