Mark Lawrenson predicts Everton clash v West Ham
Mark Lawrenson has backed Everton for another Premier League defeat at West Ham on Sunday afternoon.
The BBC pundit has predicted that it will finish 2-1 in a tight affair at the London Stadium this weekend.
That’s surprising given that Lawrenson absolutely destroyed the Everton defence, who give their side “no chance” of winning games away from home.

Writing in his latest BBC prediction column, Lawrenson insisted that the Toffees just aren’t good enough.
“My feeling is there may well be three worse teams than Everton who will go down instead of them,” he said. “That is the only thing keeping them out of the relegation zone at the moment anyway.
“Defensively, they just aren’t good enough. Individually and collectively, they make too many mistakes and if you can’t defend in the Premier League then you have got no chance, particularly away from home.
“West Ham, in contrast, are solid even when they don’t play particularly well. They lost at Tottenham last time out, but that game was only a couple of days after they had got past Sevilla in the Europa League, which was brilliant for them.”

Pressure.
Hopefully, the international break has given Frank Lampard the chance to rally the troops and really get his methods across.
It has been non-stop since he arrived at Goodison Park, and results have been all over the place and not getting any better.
This away form is going to take us down if we don’t change it, and it has to start here at West Ham, who blow hot and cold.
Leeds have been to the London Stadium and won this year, so why can’t we? We are in a position now where points are all that matter.
We need to stop worrying about others and get a result here to set us up perfectly for that huge, season-defining game at Burnley.
Forget everything going into this one, all that matters are these 90 minutes and picking up some sort of positive result – bring it on.
