Everton confirmed starting XI for Premier League clash v Burnley
Everton has confirmed their starting XI for their Premier League crunch relegation clash this evening [April 6] against Burnley.
The Blues will be looking to extend their three-point cushion on the relegation zone with a with against Sean Dyche’s men at Turf Moor.
Confirmed prior to kick off on Twitter, Frank Lampard decided to start teenager Jarrad Branthwaite and attacker Anthony Gordon with no place in the side for Seamus Coleman.
Michael Keane is suspended so he’s left out for 19-year-old Branthwaite, who makes just his second Premier League start of the season.
Forward Demarai Gray has been axed to the bench to make way for Gordon.
Must win.
If the Blues want to remain in the Premier League next season, they simply have to win this game, end of.
This is an old fashioned ‘six-pointer’ and losing it could see Lampard’s side in a heap of trouble, allowing Watford to go level with them on points in their next game.
There was some fight shown against West Ham last time out but it was nowhere near enough, with the Hammers rather comfortably winning the game 2-1.

The players need to wake up and realise they need to start winning games before they find themselves in an irretrievable situation.
Understandably it was against a team pushing for Champions League football but they completely failed to live up to the expectation of having a couple of weeks’ break due to the international break.
Gordon needs to go straight back into the starting line-up tonight because he has easily been the Toffees’ best player this season.
There is still a long way to go but failing to win tonight leaves Lampard on very dangerous ground with the threat of relegation never bigger.
