Sky Sports pundit stunned by ‘outrageous’ Richarlison moment in second half of Everton loss v Burnley
Andy Hinchcliffe was stunned by an “outrageous” attempt to score a bicycle kick by Richarlison as Everton lost 3-2 to Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday night.
Richarlison, 24, was on a hat-trick when he tried to score in the most incredible of ways in the second half.
Unfortunately for Richarlison – and football as a whole – the Brazilian’s effort was saved by Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope.

In an instant reaction to the attempt, Sky Sports pundit Hinchcliffe reacted.
Speaking on Sky Sports Premier League [08:50pm, 6 April], the ex-Everton defener said: “It’s an outrageous attempt.
“It’s down to the right-hand side of the ‘keeper at his near post.
“Look at him, he’s got to scamper across his goal. It’s a good job he does. He sets himself and that enables him to make the save. He moves his feet really impressively.”

Up for it
If Richarlison hadn’t scored twice already, we doubt that the Brazil international would have tried something as audacious as that.
It would have been a goal of the season contender, that’s for sure, but unfortunately, Pope did well to ensure he didn’t concede a hat-trick to the former Watford star.
Richarlison’s been quiet lately but we’re glad that he stepped up to take two massive penalty kicks.
There must’ve been a lot of pressure on him but the Brazilian stepped up confidently and cooly to score them both.
Both were penalties, too.
Anthony Gordon was clearly brought down by Ashley Westwood and after a VAR review, Miek Dean was correct to point to the spot as Aaron Lennon definitely clipped Vitaly Mykolenko.
It’s not very often we praise Dean for a performance as a referee, but here we are.
