Sky Sports pundit destroys Everton ace Ben Godfrey amid ‘defensive disaster’ v Burnley
Andy Hinchcliffe has destroyed Everton defender Ben Godfrey for his awful defending that led to the Burnley’s 3-2 winner.
Sean Dyche’s side completed an emphatic comeback after being 2-1 at Turf Moor, worsening the Toffees’ relegation fears.
The Blues centre-back failed to clear his lines, gifting Maxwell Cornet the opportunity to win the game, leaving them just one point off the drop zone.

Speaking on Sky Sports Main Event [April 6, 21:15], Hinchcliffe said: “Defensive disaster how many times are they going to shoot themselves in the foot.
“Godfrey can clear it out…
“Sheer panic.”
Shambolic
Honestly, what have Everton fans just witnessed?
That was a really good game from Everton, showing their toughness by coming back from a 1-0 deficit away from home to take a 2-1 lead.
They looked in complete control at times and after a disappointing result but hugely encouraging performance against West Ham, Lampard’s mean were seemingly turning a corner.

Their away day disasters looked to be coming to an end and there was no better game for it than against Burnley – a team they desperately needed to keep as far below them as possible.
Then a complete capitulation unfolded and not for the first time this season. A catalogue of errors has yet again robbed the Toffees of all three points and they simply don’t look like learning from their mistakes.
Godfrey should be ashamed of himself, that mistake was Sunday league at best but the blame shouldn’t be placed on him but rather on every single person involved with that squad.
Turning this around is going to be very tough given the state of this team.
