Real Madrid make contact with Everton over Richarlison transfer – report

Real Madrid are among the clubs who have made contact with Everton about a potential summer deal for Richarlison, according to Sport Witness.

The Toffees currently sit one point above the relegation zone and are in serious danger of suffering relegation from the Premier League for the first time ever.

That would see winger Richarlison among the most wanted players in Europe in the summer, and the current La Liga leaders are among the parties interested in doing a deal.

No official contacts have been made to start negotiations, with Madrid very keen on signing Kylian Mbappe this summer.

However they are currently mapping out their transfer window for all scenarios and wanted to gather more information on the 24-year-old Brazil international’s situation ahead of the end of the season.

Major move

Richarlison’s love for the club is unquestionable, but with a place in the Brazil squad up for grabs this winter it’s no surprise that he’d leave Everton if they got relegated.

A move to Real Madrid is the pinnacle of any footballer’s career, with the 13-time European champions renowned as the biggest club in the world.

Everton would know they could get a good sum of money for their player which would help soften the blow of his inevitable exit, but also ensure a deal can be done.

It feels like Richarlison gets linked with an exit every summer, but it seems inevitable a transfer will happen this summer.

The report says he isn’t forcing his way out and hasn’t prioritised staying in the Premier League or going abroad, more just focusing on helping Everton out of their troubles and impressing the national team manager.

You can’t ask for much more than that at this point, and he’s the only one who looks like he’s actually trying.
